ay for Gas with TWT, USDT, USDC, and USDC.e Using FlexGas in Trust Wallet
Trust Wallet supports FlexGas, powered by EIP-7702 (a smart account standard for Ethereum-based networks), allowing you to pay network gas fees (the small transaction costs required to process activity on a blockchain) using TWT (Trust Wallet Token), USDT (Tether USD), USDC (USD Coin), or USDC.e (bridged USD Coin) — in addition to native tokens like ETH (Ethereum) or BNB (BNB Chain).
What Is FlexGas?
FlexGas lets you choose which supported token to use when paying network gas fees, eliminating the need to hold a separate native gas token for every network you use.
Supported gas payment tokens:
TWT (Trust Wallet Token)
USDT (Tether USD)
USDC (USD Coin)
USDC.e (bridged USD Coin)
Native tokens (ETH, BNB, OP, ARB) remain available as alternatives
Key benefits:
No need to hold separate native tokens for gas
Fewer failed transactions caused by insufficient gas balance
A simpler, more flexible wallet experience
How FlexGas Works
Behind the scenes, FlexGas uses EIP-7702, which temporarily enables your EOA (Externally Owned Account — a standard self-custody wallet controlled by a private key) to behave like a smart account. This allows alternative gas payments while your wallet remains fully self-custodial at all times.
For more on wallet types, see EOA vs. Smart Contract Wallets.
How to Use FlexGas When Sending Crypto
Open Trust Wallet.
Start a send transaction as usual.
Tap Network Fee.
Select the token you want to use to pay gas — TWT, USDT, USDC, USDC.e, or a native token.
Confirm the transaction. Trust Wallet handles the conversion securely in the background.
How to Use FlexGas When Swapping Crypto
Open Trust Wallet.
Tap Swap.
Choose your source and destination tokens. Note: FlexGas currently supports same-chain swaps on BNB Chain and Ethereum only.
Select your preferred gas payment token — TWT, USDT, USDC, or USDC.e.
Confirm the swap.
Supported Actions
FlexGas is currently available for:
Sending tokens — on all supported networks
Swapping tokens — same-chain swaps on BNB Chain and Ethereum only
Supported Networks
FlexGas is currently available on:
BNB Smart Chain (BSC)
Ethereum
Arbitrum
OP Mainnet (Optimism)
Base
Additional network integrations are in development.
Security
FlexGas follows Trust Wallet's standard self-custodial security model:
Your private keys never leave your device
Every transaction requires your explicit approval
Delegation via EIP-7702 is restricted to Trust Wallet's secure infrastructure — no third-party contract risk
No new seed phrases or private keys are generated
No external contract approvals are required
FlexGas is fully opt-in — you can always choose to pay with the native token instead
Important Notes
The gas token you select (TWT, USDT, USDC, or USDC.e) must be held in the same wallet address you are transacting from.
You can always revert to paying gas with the native token at any time.
