What is a cross-chain swap?
A cross-chain swap lets you exchange tokens that live on different blockchains in a single transaction. For example, you can swap USDT (Tether) on BNB Smart Chain for ETH (Ether) on Ethereum — without first moving funds to a centralized exchange.
Trust Wallet routes cross-chain swaps through integrations with the following decentralized protocols — DEX (Decentralized Exchange) providers that handle the cross-chain routing automatically:
ZeroEx DEX
Rango DEX
SWFT
SwapKit

Liquidmesh
deBridge

Steps to Perform a Cross-Chain Swap in Trust Wallet
The video below shows the full cross-chain swap flow inside Trust Wallet. Written steps follow for each stage.
Step 1 — Make sure your tokens are in your wallet
Before swapping, confirm the token you want to swap from is already in your Trust Wallet. Your Home screen shows all available assets — for example: BNB on BNB Smart Chain, USDC on Arbitrum, USDT on BNB Smart Chain, BTC on Bitcoin, and TRX on Tron. Any of these can be used as a swap source.
If the token is not yet in your wallet, deposit it first by tapping Buy on the Home screen.
Step 2 — Open the Swap screen
Tap Swap to open the Swap screen. There are two ways to access it — both take you to the same place:
Tap Swap in the quick-action row directly below your balance on the Home screen, or
Tap Swap in the bottom navigation bar
Step 3 — Choose the asset to swap from
Tap the From field at the top of the Swap screen.
Select the network (blockchain) your token is on — for example, BNB Smart Chain.
Select the asset you want to swap — for example, USDT (Tether).
Step 4 — Choose the asset to swap to
Tap the To field.
Select the destination network — for example, Ethereum.
Select the destination asset — for example, ETH (Ether).
Step 5 — Enter the amount
Type the amount you want to swap in the From field, or tap Max to use your full available balance.
Step 6 — Switch direction (optional)
Tap the swap arrows icon in the middle of the screen to reverse the From and To assets if needed.
Step 7 — Review fees and network congestion
Before confirming, review the swap summary:
Provider — the routing protocol handling the swap (e.g. ZeroEx DEX, Rango DEX)
Provider Fee — fee charged by the routing protocol
Routing Fee — network gas fee (the cost paid to the blockchain to process the transaction)
Minimum received — the lowest amount you will receive after slippage (the price movement that can occur between quote and execution)
Max Slippage — the maximum price movement you are willing to accept before the swap is cancelled
If a warning about network congestion appears, review it carefully before continuing.
Step 8 — Confirm the swap
Tap Continue.
Confirm the transaction when prompted.
Track swap progress inside the app until the swap completes.
Important notes
Cross-chain swaps require that you hold the source token in your wallet before starting.
Always keep some native gas token in your wallet before swapping — for example, BNB for BNB Smart Chain, ETH for Ethereum, or TRX for Tron. Without it, the transaction cannot be processed.
Trust Wallet does not charge a service fee — fees shown are from the routing protocol and the underlying networks.
Slippage tolerance can be adjusted by tapping the Max Slippage field on the swap summary screen.
