πŸ”“ Setting Up or Resetting a Security PIN on Trust Wallet

Your passcode can only be reset by reinstalling Trust Wallet. Back up your recovery phrase before setting a passcode β€” you will need it to restore your wallet after reinstalling.

Why your passcode matters

Enabling App Lock prevents anyone with physical access to your device from opening Trust Wallet. The app locks automatically after 5 incorrect passcode attempts.

Critical: If you forget your passcode, the only way to regain access is to reinstall the app and restore your wallet using your recovery phrase. There is no passcode recovery option.

Step-by-step: setting up a passcode

Step 1 β€” Go to Security settings

Tap Settings β†’ Security β†’ toggle App Lock on.

Step 2 β€” Create your passcode

Enter your desired 6-digit passcode when prompted. Do not use a passcode you might forget β€” there is no reset without reinstalling.

Step 3 β€” Enable biometrics (optional)

Under Lock Method, choose between passcode only or passcode + Face ID / fingerprint. If Face ID is configured on your device, Trust Wallet will request permission to use it.

How to reset a forgotten passcode

  1. Uninstall Trust Wallet from your device

  2. Tap I already have a wallet β†’ Secret phrase

  3. Enter your recovery phrase to restore your wallet

  4. Set a new passcode

Important reminders
