Are you facing challenges with pending transactions in Trust Wallet? This guide will walk you through how to address these issues and ensure successful transactions.
Managing Pending BTC Transactions
Once a Bitcoin transaction is submitted on the blockchain, it’s important to understand that it cannot be interfered with. If the transaction is still pending, you must wait for it to be confirmed. For senders, it’s essential to use the suggested transaction fees to avoid delays. Miners prioritize transactions with higher fees, and by using the recommended fee, you can help your transaction be processed quicker.
If you're the recipient and a transaction is pending, you have no choice but to wait until it gets confirmed. You can monitor the status of your Bitcoin transaction through a block explorer, such as blockchair.com/bitcoin.
Note: Trust Wallet doesn’t charge fees, any delays typically arise from network congestion or low fees set by the sender.
Addressing Pending Ethereum-Based Transactions
Pending Ethereum transactions are often caused by low gas fees, meaning the fee is too low for miners to prioritize your transaction. However, Ethereum-based transactions (including those on EVM chains like Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, etc.) offer more flexibility. These transactions can be sped up or canceled.
How to Speed Up or Cancel Ethereum Transactions in Trust Wallet:
- Open Trust Wallet and navigate to the transaction details.
- Select the pending transaction you want to accelerate or cancel.
- Tap on Speed Up to increase the gas fee for a quicker confirmation or Cancel to stop the transaction entirely.
- Confirm the new gas fee or the cancellation request.
Trust Wallet will then submit a new transaction with an elevated gas price or send a zero ETH transaction to cancel the original one.
Taking Stock of Non-Cancelable Transactions
For transactions on non-EVM blockchains, once they’re pending, there’s no way to cancel them. These blockchains use complex algorithms for block validation, and if the transaction isn’t confirmed, it will eventually be withdrawn from the network. The only solution is to wait for the transaction to be processed, or it will automatically expire after a certain period.
