How to Deposit Crypto From Another Wallet

Receiving crypto from another self-custody wallet — MetaMask, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, or any other — uses the same deposit address flow as receiving from an exchange.

Steps

  1. From the Trust Wallet home screen, tap the asset you want to receive, then tap Receive

  2. Confirm the network shown matches the network you'll be sending from. A mismatch means permanent loss of funds

  3. Tap Copy to copy your deposit address to the clipboard

  4. Open your other wallet, go to Send, paste the Trust Wallet address as the destination. Confirm the network and amount, then send

Depositing vs. importing — What's the difference?

  • Depositing moves funds from one wallet to another — both wallets continue to exist. Only the crypto moves

  • Importing brings an existing wallet's secret phrase or private key into Trust Wallet, giving you direct access to that wallet inside the app

Network matching — the one thing that matters most

Before hitting send on the other wallet, verify:

  • The asset name matches exactly — USDT on TRON is not the same as USDT on Ethereum

  • The network selected on the sending wallet matches what Trust Wallet shows on the Receive screen

  • The first and last 4–6 characters of the pasted address match the one shown in Trust Wallet

💡 Sending a large amount for the first time? Send a small test amount first and confirm it arrives before sending the full balance.
