Swap failed, stuck, or returned an unexpected amount

If your swap deducted the input token but the output token did not arrive, check the block explorer before contacting support — the output may be on a different network or token contract than expected.

Swap failed — what happened?

  • Slippage exceeded — price moved more than your slippage tolerance between quote and execution. Increase slippage tolerance and retry, or swap during lower volatility

  • Insufficient gas — complex swap routes (multi-hop) require more gas. Ensure your wallet has enough native token for fees

  • Token tax / reflection tokens — some tokens charge a transfer tax. Set slippage to at least the tax percentage + 1–2%

  • Liquidity too low — the pair may not have sufficient liquidity for the amount. Try a smaller amount

Output amount was less than quoted

Swap quotes are estimates based on liquidity at quote time. Final output depends on actual price at execution and the slippage tolerance you set. A lower-than-expected output within your slippage tolerance is expected behavior.

Swap is pending for a long time

  1. Search the transaction hash on the block explorer. If it shows "pending," gas was too low — use the speed-up option in Trust Wallet

  2. If the block explorer shows "success" but Trust Wallet still shows pending, pull to refresh or clear the app cache

If your swap is confirmed on-chain but the output amount differs significantly from the slippage-adjusted quote, please gather the following information so we can investigate:

  • Transaction hash

  • Input token and amount

  • Output token and expected vs. received amount
