How to set up, restore, or configure your Trust Wallet

⚠️ Never share your 12-word secret phrase with anyone, including Trust Wallet Support. Anyone who asks for it is attempting to steal your funds.

Creating a new wallet

1/ Open Trust Wallet and tap Create a new wallet, set a 6-digit passcode or enable biometrics.

2/ Your wallet is created. Before adding any funds, please back up your secret phrase by tapping the wallet name in the top-left corner of the Home screen.

3/ Then tap the vertical three-dot icon, and you will see the options to back up your secret phrase, including Manual and Cloud Backup.

4/ Tap Manual and write down all 12 words on paper in the correct order. Do not take a screenshot or store them digitally. Then tap Confirm to complete the backup.

Note: the secret phrase can be found in the Back Up Secret Phrase section, not during the initial wallet creation flow. Please back it up before adding any funds.

Restoring an existing wallet

  1. Tap I already have a wallet on the welcome screen

  2. Select Secret phrase and enter your 12 (or 24) words in the correct order

  3. Set a new passcode

  4. If your balance doesn't appear after restore, confirm you're on the correct network. Tokens not shown by default can be added manually via Manage crypto.

Managing multiple wallets.

Trust Wallet supports multiple wallets from a single app installation. Tap the wallet name in the top bar to switch between wallets or add a new one. Each wallet has its own secret phrase, back each one up separately.

Changing your passcode or biometrics

Go to Settings → Security, to update your PIN, Face ID, or fingerprint settings. This controls app access only, it does not change your secret phrase or on-chain credentials.
