Sometimes things don't go as planned. Maybe the app won't load, a transaction won't go through, or you see an error message while connecting to a DApp. Don't worry. Most issues are temporary and can be fixed with a few simple steps.
1. Update to the latest version
Using an outdated version is one of the most common causes of errors. Make sure you have the newest version of Trust Wallet:
2. Restart the app and your device
Force close the Trust Wallet app and open it again. If that doesn't help, restart your phone or computer. You can also try using a different device to see if the problem is specific to the one you're on.
3. Check your internet connection
A weak connection can cause loading and transaction errors. Try these tips:
Use a strong, stable Wi-Fi connection.
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data (4G/5G) to see if one works better.
Turn off any VPN while using Trust Wallet.
4. Turn on DNS Resolver by Cloudflare
Sometimes your internet provider's default DNS settings can block or slow down the connection to the network. Switching to a different DNS resolver can fix this. Download the free Cloudflare DNS Resolver app, turn it on, then relaunch Trust Wallet and try again:
5. Check your device storage and system version
Make sure your device has enough free storage space and that your operating system is still supported. Running low on storage or using a very old system version can stop the app from working properly.
6. Clear the browser cache
If you see connection errors or problems approving transactions when using the Trust Wallet app or WalletConnect, clearing the cache often helps:
From the Home screen, tap the wallet name in the top left, then select the gear icon (Settings).
Go to Preferences.
Select DApp Browser.
Tap Clear Browser Cache.
7. Wait a few minutes and try again
Some errors are caused by temporary network congestion or RPC (the connection point between your wallet and the blockchain) issues. These often fix themselves, so give it a few minutes and try again.
8. Make sure you have enough for network fees
Every blockchain transaction requires a small network fee, paid in that network's native token. For example:
ETH for Ethereum
BNB for BNB Smart Chain
SOL for Solana
TRX for Tron.
If you don't have enough of the native token in your wallet, your transaction may fail.
9. Check your transaction on a block explorer
If the error appeared after you confirmed a transaction, don't send it again right away. Instead, copy the transaction hash and look it up on the network's block explorer. This will show you whether the transaction was successful, is still pending, or has failed.
10. Check network status and official channels
Sometimes the issue isn't on your side. Check the status of the blockchain network you're using, and visit Trust Wallet's official channels (Telegram; X (formerly Twitter); Facebook) to see if there are any known incidents or updates.
11. Reimport your wallet
If only one wallet is acting up, removing it and adding it back can clear up the problem. Your funds are stored on the blockchain, not in the app, so you can restore your wallet at any time with your secret phrase.
Important: Before you start, make sure you have backed up your secret phrase and can see it written down in a safe place. Trust Wallet cannot recover your wallet without it. Never share your secret phrase with anyone.
Remove the wallet:
From the Home screen, tap the wallet name at the top.
On the Wallets page, find the wallet that is having problems.
Tap the three-dot icon (horizontal) next to it.
Select Remove account.
Add the wallet back:
Go back to the Wallets page.
Tap Add Wallet at the bottom of the screen.
Select Add existing wallet.
Enter the secret phrase of the wallet you just removed.
12. Reinstall the app (only as a last resort)
If nothing else works, you can reinstall the app and restart your device.
Important: Before reinstalling, make sure you have backed up your secret phrase. Trust Wallet cannot recover your wallet without it, so keep it safe and never share it with anyone.
